What kind of words can lead to stress?
• Cruel, angry, hateful and hurtful words. Whatever you say to others are like seeds sown in their hearts and you reap the harvest in form of their reactions and behaviours to you.
• Critical, fault-finding and judgemental: Decide to be grateful for what people around you are doing right rather than being critical and judgemental about what they are not doing. Itemise the good things people are doing well and find ways to compliment them sincerely. Avoid use of words like stupid, idiot, fool and other related words.
• Rude and inconsiderate: As much as you can, avoid people who are usually rude to you.
• Whining and complaining: Uttering complaining words or listening to such can create stress in you.
• Gossip: Avoid talking behind people in a negative way.
• Argumentative or threatening words.
