Water and Weight control

Many times, people gain weight because of toxins stored up in their bodies. You’ll therefore need a lot of water to improve the function of the kidneys and flush out these toxins; then, you can succeed in your weight control.

You should take at least 3 litres in a day. Practically, if you live in Nigeria, you need more than that (maybe 4litres). Try to take at least about 1 litre or more in the morning before any meal. Then spread the rest throughout the day especially in between meals. Drinking a large volume of water is better done at least 30 minutes before meal.

You need some water during meals but this should not be the time to achieve the goal of a lot of water. Taking too much water with a meal expands the stomach and makes digestion difficult.

If water is taken at least 30 minutes before a meal, it will mix very well with the digestive juices. Digestion will be smooth, there will be better bowel movement and faeces will be less dry. There is less risk of constipation and that will keep the digestive system clean.

When the digestive system works properly and is always clean, the body will adjusts itself to the right weight.

Practical tips

If you really want to achieve this, you must make sure that water is always near you no matter where you are. Any time you feel like taking a drink, take water. If you don’t find water interesting, you can flavour it with lime or orange juice. During fasting, use the opportunity of the empty stomach to drink a lot of water, you will feel strong and be able to continue with the fast.
