Eating too much junks and lack of exercise can lead to overweight or obesity. It is true that children have fewer weight-related health and medical problems than adults. However, obese children and adolescents are more likely to become obese adults. For example, one study in the United States of America found that approximately 80% of children who were overweight at aged 10–15 years were obese adults at age 25 years placing them at risk of developing non-communicable (chronic) diseases such as hypertension, heart disease and diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis and certain cancers later in life. Such children and adolescents are also more likely to develop stress, sadness, and low self-esteem
