Difference between tension headache and migraine?
• Tension headache is dull aching, feels like a tight band or pressure around the head, whereas the pain of migraine is sharp and throbbing.
• Tension headache gets relieved by sleep, but migraine can come up at any time. It can wake someone up in the night.
• Migraine is associated with nausea and vomiting but tension headache is not.
Which one causes problem, is it the intensity or the duration of stressful periods?
• Both! If someone goes through a very intense pressure for a short time, it can lead to stress. On the other hand, a situation that doesn’t appear too intense if prolonged, not allowing any breathing space can constitute a stress agent.
Is there any relationship between stress and allergies?
• Yes! Stress can trigger allergic reactions in people who are predisposed to such reactions, and allergy can cause headaches and stress in some people.
• Stress leads to the release of histamine which trigger asthmatic attack.
