The amount of water needed by an average man is 3 liters per day while a woman needs 2.5 liters per day; though the needs may vary depending on the body frame, amount of food taken and the weather. More water may be needed on a sunny day than a rainy day. Don’t aim at taking more than you need.
In order to achieve this successfully, at least 1 litre should be taken when the stomach is empty in the morning. Thereafter, water is best taken at least 20 to 30 minutes before food. Don’t take too much water at meal time. Sip a little during meals. Too much water makes the stomach feel bloated and heavy, and overburdens the digestive organs, thereby leading to poor digestion. If the digestive system is not functioning well, poorly digested foods will ferment in the intestines. The bacteria that ferment the food release toxic metabolic waste products into the gut. The intestines, designed to absorb nutrients, also absorb some of the toxin into the bloodstream.
Poor digestion can cause a stomach ache or gas because digestion is the mechanism that makes the body work well. Other problems such as toxicity, allergies, chronic fatigue, premature aging, arthritis, poor skin and hair quality, cancer, and many other diseases can all result from poor digestion. Moreover, when toxins remain in the body and accumulate; it over-stresses the body.
