How would you know if you are addicted to something?
• If you cannot control when you start or stop that activity.
• If you would rather engage in that activity than sleep.
• If you feel restless when you stop the activity.
• If you only feel excited or encouraged when you engage in that activity; at other times you feel low.
• If the activity helps you to forget your problems.
• When you feel depressed you turn to the activity.
• If the activity makes you shirk your family responsibilities.
• The immediate effect of indulging in such activities is pleasure but the long term effect is stress disease.
